Kazbar is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in Roanoke Virginia.  What a wonderful place to raise whippets.  Stan Armstrong and Michael Long have resided in this beautiful place for 3 years now and have great joy in progressing the type of the whippet breed here in the Roanoke valley.  Kazbar Hounds came to being back in 1993 where I first started to look around for a quality show whippet.  Having previously been in Miniature Schnauzers I knew that I had to have quality to be successful.  Reuniting a friendship with Al Miniero and Robert Lopes I found my first show whippet which started my true love for this breed.  It was Ch. Alerek's One Moment in Time call name "Naomi".  She has been a wonderful dog and has a dominant place on the couch in our life.  After her in 2001 I found out about a repeat breeding of "Wallace" MBIF Select Ch. Seaspell's Beach Music SC ROMX and "Gleason" BIS Am/Can Ch. Snowcap Wildcard Goodfellow ROMX that Judy Britton and Karen Roberson were doing so I called Karen and expressed my extreme interest in this breeding.  Out of this repeat litter I received "Natalie" Ch. Seaspell's Crown Point who has been a joy in our home.  Kazbar is very proud to announce that we are working with another great kennel "Ableaim" to better the breed and have acquired two of their puppies.  Minni and Mannie.  A planned mating with Natalie and Minni's father is planned in spring 2009 which will certainly make Judy Britton proud knowing that her legacy shall live on. These five dogs have an important place in our lives and are critical in the future plans of our program at Kazbar.
